email them to get details, but punk seem a good choice to get solid and super flexy sub. anyway, you can't go wrong with rockers man. just buy the ones you like and pop ollies with them.

so its more of a personal preference thing then? i have the classic on my 48 and i like them. i was thinking of putting my classics on my gnu with the lib 48 and then putting the 43 back on the lib with a set of punk rockers. i mostly just ride around but i want to get the smaller board back on the lib and work on some more freestlye. thanks for the help. im prolly not gonna order till monday so anymore input would be helpful.

if you want the best input go to the source, the maker jake.for sure it's personal, it's a set up._____________/      |/_      _|              = more stable, less pop.  ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯  _____________/          = less stable, but more pop!       _|      |/_                                                  ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

on the one set up you say less stable. Gonna order some punks right away here. Compared to shit metals is that set up as stable as that,or close. Gonna find out for myself soon but would like to hear from someone who has had or tried most set ups. cheers

It is by opinion that the punks make as big of a difference as switching from bunk metal trucks to classic rockers.  They let the ski flex the way it should.  The only real difference I notice with the glams is in riding switch.  Seems to carve better.  You might consider getting a set of Glams and pairing them up with your classics to have 2 sets of punks.  That way you will be able to ride all 3 styles.  And pick what you want for the type of riding you will be doing. They are all good.

Geez, and I thought I was cool rocking Rocker 1st generation (no powder coated color, solid, heavy, and no orientation).  And I instantly noticed the improvement over the Bent Metals when I got them in 06.

i found it depends on the flex of your sub.  testing on my subs i found the double hinge not to be the way to go.  since our subs have tons of flex the double hinge made it too loose.  if you are riding a stiff sub (older lib) than you will want the punks of glams to compensate for the lack of flex in the sub.

Alright……….I thought I was sold on a set of punks but now you bring up the hole sub flex deal. I have a new Lib, does that sub flex more than the old one? What truck would you suggest Ralston?

not to sure about the new libs flex.  i hear they are a bit softer but the shorter sub w/ wide hole pattern does not leave much room for flex. maybe go w/ the punks?  my 41″ skate has a 17″ truckbase leaving 12″ of tail and nose outside the trucks with super soft flex.  this is why i run one pivot w/ flex ramps.

Thanks for the reply Ralston……….the sub does not seem to flex very much but I don't have anything to compare it to……….this is the first skate I have had and nobody else I know skates. I will stick with my original plan and go for the Punks.

K just a little confused here. on the snows8 site they say with the glams you are getting 2 double pivot rockers. So the punks come 1 double pivot and one single?
